Hi there! Great website! I just started watching this series and I absolutely LOVE it! I saw that you answered a fan’s question about Ellen Parsons’ purse from Season 2. You got it spot on so I was wondering if you knew where I could find the purse she carries in Season 1, Episode 8. If you watch the episode from hulu.com, you can see it within the first couple minutes when she and David are choosing wedding cakes. It is a black tote -very classic and simple. I would appreciate your help! Answer: Hi! Thanks for your question. This is ‘the’ handbag from season one, also prominently featured in advertisements from season one. It’s by Charles David, known best for his shoes, but now foraying into handbags. Question from Beth: SIlly question but I have looked everywhere for the clothing designer for Patty’s blouses, and to no avail… Can you advise? Thanks! In an interview, costume designer, Frank Flemming, he stated that Patty wears ‘Akris, Loro Piana, Brunello Cuccinelli and Domenico Vacca (translation: the best of the Italian best) for Ms. Hewes.’ You can read the full interview here |
